A native son, Jaime moved back to Mexico and to Ajijic from San Francisco, California in 1990. He has been actively involved in all aspects of real estate since 1993. Jaime founded Ajijic Real Estate in 1995, and is a member of, and/or has held various offices in:

GIL - Grupo Inmobiliario del Lago, Lakeside association of realtors.

MLS - MLS of Mexico Lakeside multiple listing service.

AMPI - La Asociacion Mexicana de Profesionales Inmobiliarios, Mexico national association of realtors.

NAR - National Association of REALTORS International REALTOR Member, United States, from which he earned the CIPS (Certified International Property Specialist) designation and has the TRC (Transnational Referral Certification) certification as well.

CANACO - Camara Nacional de Comercio de Guadalajara, in which Jaime served from 1997 to 1999 as the first president of the Chapala chapter of the Guadalajara Chamber of Commerce.
