Prior to moving to Ajijic from San Francisco, California, owner-broker Jaime Niembro had been employed managing medium-sized businesses since graduating from Valle de Atemajac University (UNIVA) of Guadalajara, in Business Administration. Since making Ajijic his home in 1992 Jaime has been actively involved in all aspects of real estate. He has held offices, including Vice President and Treasurer, in one local Real Estate Board, Grupo Inmobiliario del Lago (GIL), is a member of AMPI, Mexico’s National Board of Realtors, having held the offices of president, treasurer, and secretary in the AMPI Chapala chapter. He is a member of the International Section of NAR, the United States of America’s National Association of Realtors. Jaime served for three years (1997-1999) as president of the Chapala branch of the Guadalajara Chamber of Commerce.

Jaime founded Ajijic Real Estate located at Calle Morelos 4, on Ajijic’s main shopping and commercial street, designated "Puerta del Lago," just a block and a half from the main plaza towards the lake.
